If you’re anything like me you are constantly looking for ways to hydrate your skin nails and hair. While drinking lots of water can help it will also have you running to the bathroom all day. I’m not saying don’t drink water but try mayonnaise!
Yes I said mayo can help your hair stay moisturized! Here are the easy steps to using mayonnaise as a moisturizer for your hair.
- One cup of mayonnaise
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A warm towel
Combine the vanilla extract with the mayonnaise. Apply the mix to your dry unwashed hair. Wrap your hair in the warm towel and let set for 20 minutes. You can let it sit longer depending on how damaged or dry your hair already is.
Apply a heaping handful of shampoo to your hair, massaging it in thoroughly for several minutes. Rinse your hair out in cool water. You may need to shampoo a few times before you are able to get all of the mayonnaise out.
You can also add other natural ingredients such as olive oil, avocado, or egg to the mayonnaise mixture. In fact, specifically adding almond oil and vinegar can help to get rid of lice.
